Colour, community and connection: Leigh Pride returns for sixth year

Pride flags draped over chairs, wrapped around shoulders and dancing in the rain alongside colourful ponchos welcomed visitors to Pennington Hall Park as Leigh Pride returned for its sixth year. Chalked messages of love, acceptance and hope brightened the park’s paths. At the same time, the community came together once again to celebrate visibility, unity and inclusion, proving that not even the British weather could dampen the spirit of the day.

Unlike last year, the celebrations had the occasional downpour to contend with, but the rain did little to stop the festivities. Spirits remained high throughout the day as visitors explored a range of artisan and community stalls from local businesses, organisations and independent vendors. The celebrations also helped support local causes, with funds raised for Fundraising4Rescues contributing towards their work supporting animal charities and the care of animals in need.
